Stephanie Massey

Sr. Technician

Animals have been an intricate part of my life for as far back as I could remember. I was taught a deep appreciation and respect for them at a very young age. It only mad sense that I followed that path into adulthood. That path sarted in an animal shelter and has now lead me to where I am now. I earned a B.S. in Agriculture with a focus on Animal Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2009.

Liz Tauscher

My name is Liz Tauscher and I am originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. My husband served in the Air Force for 6 years and the service took us to beautiful but chilly Rapid City, South Dakota. We had two wonderful children, Kylie and Mason. Then after being a stay-at-home mom for 4 years, I decided to go back to school and got my Associate's in Veterinary Technology from National American University. After I graduated we decided to move our family of two kids, a shib inu, a lab mix, two cats, a 2 guinea pigs down to Texas so we could be closer to family. I stumbled across this amazing clinic because of my interest in large animals and mixed practice and I couldn't have made a better decision because I love it here!

Lois Tanigawa

Animal Care and Tech Assistant

Nidia Andreas

Animal Care

I am 21 and I recently got married. I have a family of 4 fur babies and I love them all! I have 2 dogs, Nala and Muggle. Muggle is a Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) and Nala is a special mystery breed and I love them. I also have 2 cats, Kiki and Pebbles. Kiki is a DSH and loves to sit on your chest and headbutt you and Pebbles is a tuxedo cat that loves climbing cabinets and small spaces.

Theadora James

Tech. Assistant

Howdy! My name is Theadora James. I have loved animals as long as I can remember. I have had parakeets, doves, chickens, dogs, cats, a fancy goldfish and cichlid fish. I currently have a 14 year old Lhasa Apso named Scruffy and 9 chickens. I groom, dog walk and pet-sit on the side, and I love to train.

Guard dog breeds and bully breeds (American Pitbull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs and mixes etc.) are my passion. When it comes to having dogs I love to get out and about. I have dabbled in herding and protection work with my last dog, an American Staffy/Husky/Boxer mix. We spent 2-3 hours a day training, hiking, biking, trail walking or running together. I plan to get involved in agility, rally and lure coursing with the next dog that comes into my life. I am a huge believer in both mental and physical stimulation for pets.

In 2017, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Animal Science and Poultry Science. In my last year of college I received the sad news that I did not get into vet school, but I refused to let that stop me. I came home to San Antonio looking for a job that can give me the experience I need before I pursued vet school again. I found Hooves and Paws and couldn’t believe my luck. I am so glad to be able to work at a mixed practice as a Technicians’ Assistant.
