Hooves and Paws is owned and operated by Kimberly D. Klein, DVM and has been open since August 1998. Dr. Klein is a 1993 graduate of Texas A & M Veterinary School and is a native of the Helotes area. We offer Veterinary care for dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, pocket pets and some birds. Our priority is care and compassion at all times. Hooves & Paws practices up-to-date medicine in a family-oriented environment.

Large and Small animal medicine: Horses, Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Pigs, Dogs, Cats, Pocket Pets, etc.

Farm Calls/House Calls available for large and small animals Routine Surgery, Dentals, some Cosmetic Surgery, Routine Bone Surgery, and Enucleations

Vital sign monitoring on all surgical patients. In house Diagnostics and Radiography and NOW LASER THERAPY

If we can't help you, we will assist in finding someone who can.

We also offer boarding for our current clients. Vaccinations must be up to date including Bordetella and Influenza prior to stay.

William G. Rasch, DVM

Born and raised in Central Texas and grew up in Boerne. Graduated Boerne high School in 2003. Under grad degree in Marine Biology and minor in Chemistry from TX A & M in Galveston. Graduated Ross University School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Prior to Vet school, he showed Appaloosa horses. He enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, cartoons, and collecting comics.

Originally from New Mexico, with over 50 years in the animal medical field working with Chimps, many other non-human primates, Big Cats, Domestic Cats and Dogs, Rodents, Birds, and Reptiles. Our resident "Crazy Cat Lady" has a zoo at home.

Remote Customer Service Rep (CSR)

Animals have been an intricate part of my life for as far back as I could remember. I was taught a deep appreciation and respect for them at a very young age. It only mad sense that I followed that path into adulthood. That path sarted in an animal shelter and has now lead me to where I am now. I earned a B.S. in Agriculture with a focus on Animal Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2009.
